Hi! Welcome...

Since 1998, SPGF has offered fast pitch softball to girls, ages 4 - 18. As the fastest growing softball league in West Texas, SPGF registered over 700 girls last season. SPGF is proudly affiliated and governed by the rules and regulations of the Amateur Softball Association, ASA. Thank you very much to those that choose to make SPGF their league for fun!

Reguarding League Uniforms

Coaches,

We are not allowed to add player names to the league uniforms even if you pay for them out of your own pocket. This is a security issue. If this is done, your kids will not be able to step on the playing field until this is resolved.

Opening Ceremony This Weekend!

Coaches and Parents,

Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 season will take place this Sunday, March 28th at Rocky Johnson Field (just south of the University Medical Center and west of the Ronald McDonald House).

The game begins at Noon and the ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of the game. All girls will need to be at the park no later than 1 pm (if you are not intending to attend the full game). Texas Tech (28-4) will be opening its conference season against Iowa State and they have been gracious enough to host our league’s opening ceremony for the third consecutive season.

All girls in their uniforms will be admitted to the game for free and parents and siblings accompanying girls in uniform will be admitted for $1 each.

Parking is available in the lots just north of Rocky Johnson Field.

We need the girls their by 1pm so that they can be lined up and ready to move onto the field as soon as the game ends.  All teams will be introduced and get to meet the Texas Tech softball team. An autograph session will follow the ceremony as well!

This is our traditional kickoff to the season and we are excited to partner with Texas Tech again to host our opening ceremony!

Coaches, please make sure to tell all of your parents to be in attendance for a great day of softball with SPGF and Texas Tech softball!

**Coaches: Don’t forget that uniform dispersal takes place Friday and Saturday. Be sure to check the post below for times and location to get your team’s uniforms!
